Information you provide to us. When you fill out a form on our website, register for a webinar or event, subscribe to our emails, or contact us, you may provide information such as your name, job title, company name, email address, phone number, and any details you include in your message.
Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, we and our service providers may automatically collect certain information, including your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, time spent on pages, referring website, and general location (such as city or state). We collect this information through cookies and similar technologies, described in Section 4.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiries and requests
- Register you for and manage webinars and events, including sending confirmations, reminders, and follow-up materials
- Send you newsletters, insights, and information about our services, where permitted
- Understand how visitors use our website and improve its content and performance
- Protect our website against spam, fraud, and abuse
- Comply with legal obligations
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it in the following situations:
- Service providers. We work with trusted vendors that help us operate our website and business, such as our marketing and CRM platform (HubSpot), website analytics providers, and webinar and event platforms. These providers may only use your information to perform services on our behalf.
- Event co-hosts and partners. From time to time, we host webinars, events, and gatherings together with partner organizations. When you register for an event we co-host, we will share your registration details, such as your name, email address, job title, and company, with our co-host(s) so they can help plan and run the event. The event registration page will identify any co-host(s). Our co-hosts' use of your information is governed by their own privacy policies.
- Affiliated companies. We may share information with companies under common ownership or control with WorkStream, who will handle it consistent with this policy.
- Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others, or to investigate fraud.
- Business transfers. If WorkStream is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
- With your consent. We may share your information for other purposes when you give us permission.
4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to help it function, remember your preferences, understand how visitors use it, and measure the effectiveness of our marketing. The technologies we use include, but are not limited to:
- Google Analytics, which helps us measure website traffic and usage. You can learn more in Google's Privacy Policy and opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- HubSpot tracking, which helps us understand how visitors interact with our website and emails and connect website activity to form submissions.
- Google reCAPTCHA, which helps protect our forms from spam and abuse. Use of reCAPTCHA is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
We may also use other cookies and similar technologies provided by us or by third parties, including cookies that are necessary for the website to function and cookies that remember your settings and preferences.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. If you disable cookies, some parts of our website may not work as intended. Our website does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals.
5. Your Choices
- Email communications. You can unsubscribe from our marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email, updating your email preferences, or contacting us at info@workstreamtechnology.com. We will process your request promptly. Unsubscribing from our emails does not unsubscribe you from communications sent by our event co-hosts, which you will need to manage directly with them. We may still send you non-marketing messages, such as event confirmations.
- Access, updates, and deletion. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by contacting us using the details in Section 9.
6. Additional Rights for California Residents
If you are a California resident, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; to request deletion or correction of your personal information; to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information; and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will verify your request before responding.
7. Additional Rights for Visitors in the European Economic Area and United Kingdom
If you are located in the EEA or UK, we process your personal information based on your consent, our legitimate interests in operating and marketing our business, or to fulfill a request you make. You may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal information, to request a copy of your data, and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Because WorkStream is based in the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
8. Data Security and Retention
Protecting your personal information matters to us. We take commercially reasonable steps to safeguard the information stored on our systems. That said, sending information over the internet always carries some risk, and data in transit could be intercepted or accessed by unauthorized parties. Because the internet is outside of WorkStream's control, we cannot promise that any transmission or online communication will be fully secure or always available. If a data breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law.
9. Changes to This Policy and Contact Us
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
